When we get to the take-off place our ground crew and the pilot sets the balloon. If you would like to get an extra experience of ballooning you can participate voluntarily under the supervision of our crew. It will take us about 15 – 20 minutes and then you will board the basket and the pilot will take you into the wonderland of a balloon flight and memorable experience. We fly for about an hour and after that the pilot lands on a suitable landing place. Ground crew comes and packs the balloon. If you would like you can also participate in this part of the activity to pack the giant piece of envelope fabric back into the envelope bag, which was carrying you in the air.

At the agreed time early in the morning we meet at our meeting point or we pick you up from in front of your accommodation if you are staying in Ljubljana. At the meeting point you will check-in while the pilot is doing final planning for your flight.  He will be assessing wind directions and speeds and deciding on which take-off place we will take you. He will also give you a short briefing of how the morning will unfold. Then he will submit the flight plan to Slovenian Air Traffic Control and off you drive towards your romantic adventure.

Suitable weather conditions for conducting a safe balloon flight is that we have a stable atmosphere without precipitations, fog or strong winds. Final decision about conducting a flight or not makes the pilot who is also responsible for your safety and well being.

After the balloon is packed we will have a traditional Balloon Ceremony with a glass of premium Slovene sparkling wine (Champagne) from cellar Istenic. If you meet all of the “conditions” you will be titled with the title of Honorable Baroness or Baron of the area the balloon was flying over. When finishing the Ceremony we will take you back to our meeting point where we will have a refreshing drink, coffee or tea and some small snacks. While you are enjoying the beautiful morning, your drink and snacks, we will hand written your Certificates, so that you have a proof that you are a Honorable Baroness or Baron. For those passengers that we picked up, we will take you back to your accommodation.

Recommended clothing is the same as you wear it when you go out for a morning walk. We recommend that you wear sports clothing with sturdy shoes, possibly waterproof since there is usually morning dew on the field. Wear something warm as it will probably be cold when we start out. It might be a good idea to bring a hat of some kind as the heat from the burner flame can sometimes be quite noticeable. Also, you will need a pair of good, sturdy shoes.

The night before your booked flight you have to contact us to confirm your balloon flight due to weather conditions and we will also tell you the exact time and meeting point or arrange your pick up times.

Flights are early in the morning. Sometimes we can conduct a flight also late in the afternoon but it is highly unlikely due to usual unstable weather conditions in the afternoon.
